10 Days to Take-off

It's 10 days until we begin an Alaska Adventure in celebration of our 50th anniversary. This is the first trip I've planned where we've had things cancelled after booking. We planned the entire trip around the train excursion from Skagway to White Pass. The train was only scheduled to run every two weeks due to the pandemic and cruise lines not currently running, so we picked the date closest to our anniversary. Two weeks after booking the train and all of our other transportation and lodging around that date, we received an email saying the train would not be operating. So, plan B. Shortly after that cancellation, we had a hotel in Anchorage cancel our reservation with no explanation. Plan C. Here is our itinerary as booked, pending further cancellations. πŸ˜’

July 7th - Fly into Ketchikan, AK
July 8th - Halibut fishing charter, Ketchikan
July 9th & 10th - Ferry to Skagway, AK
July 11th - City and Mountain Summit (White Pass) Tour (bus)
July 11th - Ferry to Juneau
July 11th - 13th - Juneau
July 13th - 15th - Ferry to Whittier
July 15th - Anchorage
July 16th - Glacier Flight Talkeetna
July 16th - 18th - Denali
July 18th - Fly home
