Day 3

Woke up to a rainy day but walked to Walmart anyway to see if we could get some water and snacks for the ferry since we will be on it for a day and a half. It was a small Walmart with a VERY small section of food and out of water until maybe next week 🥴 .

Boarding the ferry
Our beds for the night 😬 For all you cruisers out there, this is how the poor folks do it.
Leaving Ketchikan
Edgewater Inn, where we stayed the last two nights. If you are ever in Ketchikan, AK, do NOT stay here. All I’m going to say about it.
Quite a wake
This is pretty much the view we’ve had today.
We’re aboard the Matanuska ferry.
Fellow walkers, this is for you.
Getting our steps in 😁.

Stopping at Wrangel.
The ferry
Car deck.
This area was full of eagles. If you zoom in on the big tree on the little island you can probably see one in the tree.
Petersburg

Just an old dock at Petersburg.

And the last photo of the night. Our first glacier sighting.
Since there is no wifi onboard and we are in the vast outdoors, don’t know when this will post. More soon…
